P.S. They're Plant Based

P.S. Kitchen NYC

... here we come. Whether you are a skeptic or you love it, there is no denying plant based cuisine is on the rise. P.S. Kitchen was easily one of the highlights of my NYC trip. I found it using my Happy Cow app which is pretty much my go to when traveling. If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be chic. The interior decor is mostly white and crisp lit with a pink glow by this neon sign pictured above. The whole staff was dressed beautifully in black. I feel the name is also very clever. The bottom of the menu says "P.S. we're plant based & P.S. all profits are donated to charity." If you dine here you are donating. How amazing is that? Definitely a business anyone would be happy to support.

This lovely drink was not on the menu but was a bartender recommendation based on a few questions she asked me about my taste. It is a raspberry margarita with a spicy and salty rim. It was unreal.

Upon noticing us girl snapping so many pictures our bartender offered to take one of my friend Sedona and I.

We were also gifted this citrus and lavender mocktail garnished with an edible flower. These girls definitely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Upon reading the menu you definitely do would not notice right away that all the offerings are vegan and let me tell you the taste does not give it away either. This is not your typical all vegan cafΓ© with kitschy decor and sprout covered sandwiches. Although I love and appreciate places like that they are not for everyone. This place is definitely more of an elevated dinning experience. Definitely a great place to bring non vegan friends and I am positive they will love it. Sedona definitely did. I ordered two small plates for $12 each and was completely satisfied. I got the maitake steamed bao buns with glazed mushroom, radish, kimchee, and onion as well as the Colombian potato soup with avocado, jalapeΓ±o, cilantro and radish. Although I did not get a picture I ended my meal with and espresso martini made with Bailey's Almande and it was to die for! If you enjoyed this post give me a like & a comment below.

Wander often & wonder always,
