Summer Beauty Favorites
Happy Sunday wanderers & welcome back to my blog! I know it's been quite a while since I've kept up with my weekly Sunday posts. A busy summer at work kept me otherwise preoccupied but I am excited to get back into the groove of writing.
This morning I am in Seattle, Washington on a road trip from Palmer, AK to San Antonio, TX with my best friend! Stay tuned for travel & vegan food content from our adventure.
Today I would like to share with you my cruelty free & vegan beauty favorites from this summer, I hope you enjoy the post!
Refresh Skin Therapy Brightening Serum
I have been getting super into serums lately. My skin is highly acne prone and I have found that serums are a great way to moisturize and refresh the skin without clogging your pores. This serum in particular is a favorite because it is not too oily at all, it's actually more of a gel consistency. I loved to keep it in the fridge to make application even more refreshing during the summer months. I use this product after washing my face right before bed. It has helped me lighten up some of my acne scaring and helps skin feel hydrated and fresh! Overall I would recommend this product to people of all skin types!

First Aid Beauty Detox Eye-Roller
Transitioning into another refreshing product, I love this under-eye roller by First Aid beauty. It feels so nice when you apply it and the caffeine helps to reduce the look of puffiness and makes you look & feel more awake. Perfect after a long night! I find that First Aid products in general are great for sensitive skin types and I love that they focus on natural ingredients!

Period cups are the new wave! So many people are transitioning from single use period products like pads and tampons to the sustainable option of a period cup & rightfully so. It’s a win-win because you not only reduce your waste but the product is much better in my opinion. I tried out my first cup from Saalt Cup Co. this summer and loved the freedom it gave me to go to the beach for hours and not have to worry about a soggy tampon if I went swimming. It was also perfect for my busy work schedule because it doesn’t have to be emptied as frequently as you would change a tampon. Ask me any questions you have about period cups down below and I will answer them all in another blogpost. Stay tuned for a giveaway on Instagram!

Tom’s Coconut Lavender Antiperspirant Deodorant
A great vegan & CF deodorant is something I have struggled to find for a while! I used to use dove antiperspirant pre-veganism and I loved how fresh and dry it left my pits. After deciding to go vegan I tried a lot of all natural vegan deodorants and honestly this is the only one that does the job. I don’t like deodorants that aren’t antiperspirant so that rules out a lot of the more crunchy and hippy brands. Also, the Tom’s antiperspirant that is unscented doesn’t do the job either. I stand by this deodorant especially during those sweaty summer months & the fresh meadows scent is great as well!

Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm
I am always on the hunt for new lip balms and as I am a big fan of Shea Moisture’s other products so I thought I’d give this one a go. It did not disappoint, it is super moisturizing and perfect for when you are going for a glossier look than just plain chapstick.

YesTo Cucumber calming Facial Wipes
Similar to deodorant I am also super picky about makeup wipes! Before veganism I used Neutrogena and honestly thought I’d never find vegan makeup wipes as good as those ones! I hate ones that fall apart while you're using them or the kinds that are too harsh to cleanse the eye area. However, these are perfect. They do a great job at cleansing and are also soothing to the skin not to mention they smell great!

Too Faced Born This Way Etherial Setting Powder & Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup
These two procucts are my new favorite combination for facial makeup. The Naked foundation applies feeling light and weightless but is also buildable from a medium to full coverage. Finishing off with the Too Faces setting powder gives a matte yet smooth finish for someone with oily skin like me. After changing my makeup routine to include these two products mid-summer I got a lot of compliments at work about how fresh and nice my skin was looking. They are a but on the pricer side but I find higher end makeup leads to ultimately less breakouts in my case so I am willing to drop a few extra dollars.
